I use a relational, client-centered approach to counselling that integrates strategies from Emotionally Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, with a focus on a strengths-based approach. I have worked extensively in supporting children and their families through the course of my 25 + year career as an administrator and educator and will continue to do so in my counselling practice. Supporting clients dealing with life changes; illness, divorce and loss of a loved one are also areas of strength and experience for me. I look forward to working with you.
Recently I completed training with the NS Federation of Agriculture and the National Farmer Mental Health Alliance and I am proud to be certified as an Ag-Informed Therapist. I am doubly proud as my dad and grandfather were both farmers and I can appreciate the sacrifices farmers and their families make each day.
